Editorial policy
Active Community News aims to make its advice clear, useful and honest about its limits. We separate editorial material from paid placements and correct errors when they are identified.
Accuracy and clarity
We check claims against the material available to us, use precise language and avoid adding unsupported detail. Where a subject depends on local arrangements or circumstances, we say so rather than implying one answer fits every reader.
Independence and partnerships
Editorial decisions are distinct from partnership arrangements. Paid or partner material is labelled clearly so readers can tell it apart from independent editorial content. A partnership does not guarantee favourable coverage.
Corrections
If you spot an error, use the Contact page and identify the article and passage. We review correction requests and update material when a change is warranted; significant corrections are identified for readers.
Illustrations
Some illustrations may be generated with artificial intelligence. Illustrations are not evidence of a real event, person or place, and we label AI-generated images where they appear.
Participation works best when the next step is clear.
We focus on small, workable choices: how to join, contribute, organise and make room for different ways of taking part.
